My Little Theoden

I just wanted to do an update on Theo, I haven't really talked about him much. He is such a delightful baby, er toddler. I still call him my baby though... I still think of him that way. It's a little hard for me to picture him as a "big brother," I'm a little worried how he will transition.

He is doing GREAT at everything! He talks in full sentences quite often - it blows my mind! He can say so many things, and anything I ask him to say he will attempt to repeat it, and sounds out every syllable. It's the cutest thing. He also always asks for whatever he wants, he says "I want water, pease." Or if he doesn't want to do something he says "I don't want to go to bed!" Hayden was barely talking at all this age, much less saying sentences - but I think it might have had something to do with him being the first child and not spending a lot of time around other kids.

Like I said earlier, I think he might be completely ready to potty-train. He's loves to talk about going pee-pee, and he always runs to the bathroom to go. When I go in to go, he rips off his diaper (much to my chagrin) and sits down on Hayden's training kid potty and goes with me. The only thing holding me back from full out "training" him is that I am not ready - I don't think I can handle doing both of them at once without some help. Which is why I have thought to wait and try until December when Brandon has a break from school.

Another funny thing is that we have those "kid-proof" door handle covers - well they don't stop him at all. Just the past couple weeks, he just waltzes into any room he wants to go in. That has been a little frustrating, but we do have a good laugh when he goes in a room and closes the door, and then Hayden cries and bangs on the door because he can't get in after him! LOL, Hayden still can't open those doors :)

Sleeping in his own crib was going great - until the middle of June when all of a sudden he was able to climb out of his crib. Now, every night, when we put him down he climbs out. And we have to put him back in - over and over and over - until he finally decides to go to sleep. And just recently, he wakes up in the middle of the night, climbs out, and comes to our room, climbs in our bed and starts nursing - without me even noticing!! Now that has gotten quite frustrating, because he used to be sleeping through the night in his crib! So, somehow, I've got to reverse this sleeping-with-mom thing before February! I am still nursing him - twice a day usually, and I'm really torn about stopping. I don't want to stop because it's one of the last "baby" things I do with him, but I don't want to keep it going for too long. I'm still stuck on what to do... but I have a couple more months before I need to make a decision.

Anyway, he's a really spunky kid - he has so much personality and he's so vibrant and loves to show off. I mean LOVES to show off. I should put up a video of him doing all his animal sounds, it's so cute!
