Small Victory

Hayden went poop in the toilet today! Well, he went in his pants and so I took him to the bathroom and he continued going in the potty! It's the first time he's done that in the toilet - he will go pee just about every time I take him, but not poop. Of course, the victory was short-lived. A few hours later he went poop in his pants again... sigh. But still, it made me a little happy. I promised him a toy if he went in the potty, so we'll get him a new toy this weekend (small and inexpensive though!).

Overall this potty training thing is not going so well. He has accidents as often as not throughout the day. We go through 4-8 pairs of underwear. And he never initiates going by himself - either I'm taking him and forcing him to go every hour or he is peeing/pooing in his pants. Very frustrating. But I am just continuing on. I'm not sure there is anything else to do. I believe he is fully ready, he just doesn't want to - he's become bored with it and doesn't like having to take time away from playing or anything to go to the potty. So I'm doing lots of laundry. We are still putting him in pull-ups at night, and usually when we go out too.
