Alaskan Cruise

We went on a 7-night cruise to Alaska. We drove up to Seattle and the ship left from there. We picked my brother up from his law school and stopped to stay with Brandon's grandparents in Oregon on the way there. After the cruise I met up with one of my friends from elementary school - Beth - and went to the Seattle aquarium with her and her little girl Lilly! It was so awesome, the last time we saw each other was in 9th grade in Butte, Montana (we both have family there). That was 15 years ago! Crazy! We also went to the Seattle Zoo while we were there - it was a wonderful zoo, the best that we have taken the kids to so far.

The cruise itself was very difficult with little Theo - he screamed almost the entire time at every little thing. It drove us bonkers. But we did get some good memories. We stopped in Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan. In Skagway we rode on dog sleds pulled by Alaskan huskies! That was fun and the boys loved the dogs! In Juneau we went and saw the Mendenhall Glacier and went to a salmon bake (very good salmon!). In Ketchikan we walked around the rainforest and went to an eagle sanctuary. Oh yeah - we saw several wild bald eagles while there!
