Toy Organizer

Ok I'm super excited! I spent most of the weekend cleaning the house, and I went through all of the kids toys and separated them out. We have Brandon's old toy box in the living room which pretty much all the toys go into. Hayden doesn't spend much time in his room because Theo will then follow him in there and methodically pull EVERYTHING out of the drawers, closet, hamper, etc. He makes it into a disaster, so we pretty much keep the kids out of their room during the day.

Anyway, I orderd a toy bin organizer thingy! It should be here tomorrow! I believe it will fit in Hayden's closet, so my plan is to put it up in there and then start letting Hayden go in his room to get toys, and also help pick them up after he plays with them. Hopefully most things will have a designated "place" and he can also learn how to pick up after himself.

I still am not sure how to handle Theo going in there. Brandon said maybe we should get another gate to go in front of the door - plus then Hayden could have a little more privacy to play in his room and do things that he doesn't necessarily want Theo messing up (he gets so frustrated when he is making something and then Theo comes and destroys it in a second). We'll see how that goes haha. I'm sure Theo will be throwing a fit everytime he is on the "wrong" side of the gate (i.e. on the opposite of where Hayden is!).
