So this week was a rollercoaster. I took Hayden to the doctor on Monday because he still wasn't feeling well - turned out he had/has 2 ear infections, so he is now on antibiotics. Then Brandon started feeling off and was coughing & weak by the middle of the week. I started feeling a little cough coming on around Wednesday, and by Friday I was feeling awful.
I still feel awful, it's the deep lung/chest pain every time I cough or sneeze and it's no fun. If I don't feel significantly better by Monday, I'm going to my regular doctor, I hope this is something that can be cleared up quickly so that I do not have to go through labor also being miserably sick! Not to mention I don't want my baby exposed to anything! I have tried so hard this fall to keep all of us from getting sick, and here we all are, really sick right when it matters most. I slept for about 4 solid hours last night though - the most I've slept in DAYS, and I think I'm feeling a little better this morning. I hope this is a good sign.
On Wednesday night, my mom woke up in the middle of the night feeling a lot of stomach pain. She went out to the kitchen to get painkillers & collapsed & couldn't get back up. She called for my dad, he came and got her and took her to the ER. My mom has been having stomach pain/cramps off and on for over a year. They finally know the cause! After doing ultrasounds to find excess fluid in places there shouldn't have been, bloodwork showing she had infection in her body, and a CT scan, they determined it was her appendix. Her appendix has been continuously leaking and then scabbing over again, and everytime it leaks is when it causes her pain. So, it is at risk of rupturing anytime and the doctor said this is a very serious condition, so she had to have it out. She was released from the hospital yesterday (Saturday) and is doing well, other than being sore. I am just so glad that they have found the cause of this pain, so hopefully my mom will start feeling good a lot more often! Yay!
On Friday I had my 38 week checkup. Everything looks good. 50% effaced, 2 cm, baby at -1 station, measured at 39 weeks, and the heartrate was 148 bpm! That's my baby! Anyway, my doctor said probably by Christmas, and she really doesn't think I'll make it til when she goes on vacation. I hope not because I really want her to deliver the baby! And, this baby has officially stayed in longer than Hayden now. Ha.
Is it a boy, or girl? Names!! We have to come up with some today! We are so unsure, so that is our task today - decide on a couple!
