We have less than 3 weeks left until the due date! I think I am ready. I have gotten almost all the chores done that needed to get done for the baby, as well as all the Christmas stuff. I still am working on a huge report this week at work (that is due the beginning of the year), but I should be able to finish it up this week & if I have to be gone from work next week, then someone else can probably pick it up for me.
I had my 37 week check-up on Friday. At this exact same moment in time with Hayden (meaning I was exactly as far along with him as I am with this one - to the day), I was 2-3 cm dilated and the doctor said I'd have him within a week. This time, I am 0 cm dilated, closed cervix and 50% effaced and she said nothing to the effect that I could have him within a week. Agh!! I hope things change at my 38 week appointment next week, because I really want to have this baby in December. Also, my doctor is going on vacation the week after Christmas, so I want this baby to come by Christmas so that I can have a good chance of her delivering the baby.
Hayden has been sick. I think he's finally on the rise to being better today, but his cough has worsened significantly. Wednesday afternoon when I picked him up from my mother-in-laws she said that he was acting a little "off", and the same thing on Thursday - he still didn't seem quite right. Well, Thursday night, in the middle of the night he woke up and we noticed right away he had a fever. Friday he seemed ok with medicine, but by Friday night he was extremely sick. He was up every hour or so throughout the night. Saturday (yesterday) was the worst, but today he seems better - still has a fever, but is eating more and more chipper than he has been. Hopefully he is better by Thursday because he is supposed to get his second H1N1 shot.
Brandon is now feeling very weak with a sore throat and he thinks he may be getting a fever. Oh great. I just hope it doesn't get passed along to me. I would hate to have a baby when I'm already sick. So far, I feel fine, just really tired which has been normal for me this time around since 30+ weeks.
I will have to post a picture of our very first (fake...) Christmas tree next time!
