Happy FIFTH Birthday to Hayden!

I absolutely, positively, CANNOT believe it's been 5 years since you were born, Hayden! 5 years! Time has just flown by. It makes me think the next 13 years will go by in a blink of an eye too. I don't want you to grow up!

I know I know, it's almost a month past your birthday. Eeek! I'm just not on top of things, what can I say.

This past year you were diagnosed with asthma and even had an emergency room visit in November because you couldn't breathe! I'm so sad about that. You seem to be getting worse and worse... but I'm secretly hoping that once you get a little older your asthma will start to get better. You are such an innocent little guy... it breaks my heart when I see you struggling to breathe.

You are also in preschool this year. You go 3 hours a day Monday through Friday. I think you are really enjoying it! And I go with you twice a month as part of parent participation. Those are your favorite days - you always want me to stay with you! You have learned all your numbers, letters, shapes, colors, and can even write your own name now! I'm so proud of you. You LOVE homework. You are always asking to do it. I hope it stays this way for many years to come :)

I love you Hayden! Don't grow up too fast!
