"Before you freak out, Theo is, really, just fine.When I was sending you the last email, I heard him scream out in the living room. Then he cried for a sec and sounded fine. I thought, whatever, the kid screams, I'll be out in just a sec. I go out about a minute later and see blood all over his leg, on his hands, on his mouth, and on his ear.... and Hayden standing there with a pair of scissors. He stabbed him in the hand! Theo had just rubbed it all over himself."
Yeah... so we have NO idea where he got the scissors from. I hadn't even seen those scissors for probably at least a year... Anyway, we put them WAY up high, and Brandon also put the kitchen knives way up on top of the refrigerator ( they were high up on the counter before, too, but now we just want to be extra careful since we know Hayden is capable of stabbing his brother!!) Hayden also got his biggest punishment yet... he was scolded and put to bed for a while, and has had a couple of his toys taken away for a while. I think it is sinking in, he knows he hurt his brother and that it's not OK to do that.
When I got home Brandon had Theo's hand all cleaned out and bandaged up (the flap of skin went right back over it), and it hasn't been bleeding again, so I'm sure it will be just fine. I'm glad I wasn't there when it happened... I would have totally freaked out!!
